Flogging Molly – Irish storm from Los Angeles
Flogging Molly is a celebration of life, good and bad where beer is flowing and we all inhabit a soul of an Irish rebel who loves the green color and we are all called “Patrick O’Brian”.
It’s a stunning live show that will devour everyone. It’s a great combination of instruments, especially the violin part of Bridget Regan that trembles in the heart, while legs stomp in the insane pace of this great party. Lyrics usually deal with topics such as Ireland and Irish history, alcohol, politics, love, death, or the Catholic Church.
Celtic punk is currently on a European tour. A seven-member formation was formed in 1997 and has six studio albums all under Side One Dummy Records.
They released a comeback album last year called Life Is Good, produced by Joe Chiccarelli (U2, the White Stripes, Beck), a Grammy Award winner. The album can be linked to a rough wake-up call, and as the frontman and singer Dave King harshly say, “We woke up and we won’t fall asleep anymore.”
